Solon McGee, Associate
Solon earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University where he was the President of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Solon also served on the Board of Directors for Central Utah SHRM for several years. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board, a recipient of the Robert D. Dewitt Best Brief Award, inducted into the Order of Barristers, and a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honors society, as well as the Dean’s List. Solon was a summer law clerk for the Honorable Cynthia Norton, Brian Fenimore, and Dennis Dow of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri, the United States Department of Justice – Office of the United States Trustee, the United States Senate Judiciary Committee, and for the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Prior to the practice of law, Solon developed a healthcare software solution for small and medium sized medical practices which altered the structure of the revenue cycle by developing a cost of care estimation and payor contract management tool. Solon began his legal career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Greene County, Missouri, where he took numerous cases to trial and served on the Underage Drinking Taskforce. Following his work at the Prosecutor’s Office he worked at a law firm engaging in civil litigation and providing general counsel to business, hospital, and government clients. Solon is engaged in various capacities in the community, is married, has four children, and enjoys spending time with his family.
