Austin E. Williamson, Member

Prior to joining Rooney McBride & Smith, LLC, Attorney Austin E. Williamson practiced in Little Rock, Arkansas for 6 years where he focused his practice on domestic and probate law.  Austin served as a certified Attorney Ad Litem in Arkansas, working closely with children and families in that role.  Austin served as an officer of the Pulaski County Family Law Committee and helped organize and moderate the family law portion of the Arkansas Bar Association Annual Meeting.  Austin also participated as an active member of the Arkansas Young Lawyers Section.  During his time in Arkansas, Austin was named in Super Lawyers Mid-South as a Rising Star in Family Law.   Prior to his tenure practicing in Arkansas, Austin worked as a general practitioner with a local firm in Springfield, Missouri, where he had the opportunity to practice in general civil litigation.  Austin was a member of the Missouri Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and served a term as the District 11 Representative on the Missouri Young Lawyers Council. Austin is admitted to practice in Missouri and Arkansas.  He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Family Law Section, the Arkansas Bar Association, the Arkansas Bar Association Family Law Committee and the Pulaski County Bar Association.  Austin maintains his Attorney Ad Litem certification for Arkansas.  He is also a certified Guardian Ad Litem for Missouri and has served on numerous cases as an advocate for minor children and the elderly in that role.  Austin is also certified in Collaborative Law and provides representation to clients seeking to resolve their case collaboratively. Austin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Criminology with a minor in Global Studies from Drury University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2002.  After completing his undergraduate education, he attended law school at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, where he obtained his law degree in 2005.  Austin was an active member of Phi Alpha Delta legal society while attending the University of Arkansas. Austin and his wife, who is an optometrist, have one son. In his free time, Austin enjoys spending time with his family and friends, riding his bike, and exploring the ever-expanding Greenway Trails.
