Andy Scholz is a Springfield, Missouri, native. He earned his B.A. from Drury University and attended law school at the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 2003, he became a Special Prosecuting Attorney for Attorney General Jay Nixon and worked in the Division of Public Safety.
In 2005, he became an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Boone County, Missouri. Throughout his years serving as a prosecutor, in each of his cases, he was strongly committed to the physical and sexual abuse victims and their families.
In 2010, Andy and his family moved back home to Springfield, where he focused his practice in family law. To continue his desire to assist families, he joined Rooney McBride and Smith in 2019, where handles family law, guardianship, and civil litigation matters.
Andy is involved with several organizations in the Springfield area, including Dynamic Strides Therapy, the Betty and Bobby Allison Ozarks Counseling Center board of directors, and the Bigger Net Income chapter of Business Networking International. Andy served as the 2014 Springfield Family Law Committee Chairperson, and he is a frequent presenter for continuing education seminars on family law topics. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
